How to change the language in GitLab (self-hosted or gitlab.com)?

In order to change the user interface language for your self-hosted Gitlab instance, or Gitlab.com, follow these steps:

1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

2. Click on Preferences in the menu which pops up

3. Click on Preferences again in the left sidebar.

4. Scroll down to the Language section and select your preferred language. Don’t forget to click Save changes at the bottom of the page when you are finished.
