What is EoE in EtherCAT?
EoE is the abbreviation for Ethernet over EtherCAT. It is a protocol that allows standard Ethernet frames to be transmitted over an EtherCAT network.
Most often, this is used to connect TCP/IP based devices, such as industrial PCs or HMIs, to an EtherCAT network without the need for special EtherCAT hardware on the device side.
