ESP32-P4 external DC/DC converter: Which chip should you use?
The ESP32-P4 microcontroller from Espressif requires an external DC/DC converter to supply the digital domain with power.
The ESP32-P4 will use dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) to adjust the core voltage based on the current performance needs.
The ESP32-P4 is optimized for a DC/DC converter with 0.6V feedback voltage, even though other output voltages can be configured to work but are not recommended.
The recommended DC/DC converter is the Texas Instruments TLV62569, which is a 1.5MHz synchronous step-down converter that can provide up to 2A of output current and supports a input voltage range from 2.5V to 6V.
Other verified DC/DC converters, according to the schematic checklist are the ETA3485, SY8088, and RY3420
Please note that the VDD_HP pins have a absolute maximum voltage rating of 1.3V, so you must not connect VDD_HP directly to a 3.3V or 1.8V supply.
