What is 'ADO' in EtherCAT frames?

ADO just means Address Offset (sometimes also called Offset address). It is simply the offset of the address in the EtherCAT frame.

Hence, if you are reading from ADO=0x0816, this just means you are accessing (physical or logical) address 0x0816 of the EtherCAT slave device.
